Feedback from some previous events:

Smallwood Manor Private School, Marchington. Year 6 leaver's event, June 2011:

Dear Robin and Sarah,

What a fantastic evening you created on Friday! The children, parents and staff all commented on how wonderful it had been to create an atmosphere of genuine fun and harmony. Words such as 'awesome' spring to mind! It was just what I'd hoped for and I am both delighted and extremely thankful. Well done! Caroline and I are both converts, along with many others I suspect. Wonderful!

Mike Harrison, Headmaster.

De Ferrers College, Burton. 3 day event. Over 320 year 8 children taught Salsa!  June 2011:

Dear Robin,

Just a note to say thank you for all your hard work and contribution to the 'Theme days' at De Ferrers. You were a pleasure to work with and I'm sure the students will remember their 'Salsa experience' for many years.

Thank you

Ann Jeffery, Deputy Head.

Salsa in Stoke

The setting may not have been sultry South America, but those participating in the recent Cuban Salsa workshop at the Village Hall had certainly warmed up by the end of a very lively evening.

Thanks to instructor Robin and his amusing, but skilful teaching methods, most people were able to shed their inhibitions, their British stiffness and even their partners! He did initially seem a bit shocked when faced with about three times as many people as he would normally teach in a workshop, but coped really well, making us laugh at the same time as teaching us the moves.

Cuban Salsa is danced in a circle of couples with the men moving on to a different lady throughout the dance. According to Robin’s website, ladies need to be sensual, playful and creative, whilst the men are definitely ‘in charge’. (That must have pleased them!)

The evening was full of fun and time seemed to pass so quickly. It would be good to persuade Robin to come back and run some more workshops – if we haven’t scared him off!
