Salsa Party! Sunday 27th July at 'The Waterfront' Barton Marina. www.bartonmarina.co.uk The afternoon starts with drinks, salsa dips, latin style food and a beginners lesson in this fantastic waterside setting. There will be music and dancing from 4pm to 8pm. We play all the very best Salsa! Music you can really dance to. Entrance, lesson and dancing are FREE.
 

The next Absolute beginners course at the Belvedere in Burton starts on Thursday July 31st, 7.30pm.

Then every Thursday at 7.30pm at The Belvedere Park Club, Belvedere Road, Burton on Trent, Staffordshire, DE13 0RQ.   It's a great venue with a large wooden dance floor, free on-site car park and bar open until late. The full 7 week course is just £30 and you don't need to bring a partner. Ladies, bring a male partner and he'll get the course half price. Experienced male dancers always welcome. Come along get fit and have fun.


The next Improvers course at the Belvedere in Burton starts on Thursday July 31st, 8.45pm.

Then every Thursday at 8:45pm at The Belvedere Park Club, Belvedere Road, Burton on Trent, Staffordshire, DE13 0RQ. The full 7 week course is just £30, experienced male dancers always welcome.


Our first nights for courses are always free, you may sign up for the whole course then or on week two, you may also join with a deposit of £10 and the balance a week later. Everyone is signed up and the course closed to new members from the end of week two. We teach new content in every lesson throughout the course, this is why paying for individual lessons isn't possible, everyone learns together and the course's progression is maintained.

Responsibilities of Robin (Course tutor)

I ultimately carry the responsibility for running the classes safely, I have public liability insurance as required by law. However, I cannot be held solely responsible for all member's actions. My responsibilities include: The safety of Sound and display equipment, cables and stands. Informing the class of the location of fire exits/local hazards and informing the venue manager of any safety concerns.

Whilst teaching I also have responsibility for: Health and safety of course attendees, safe dance techniques, safe footware, monitoring the overall excertion levels of students, taking drink breaks where neccessary, making sure the membership form's 'Health' section is completed, read and understood.

Responsibilities of course members: To join any class or dancing activity you must agree to the following: Follow all safety guidance from Robin and venue staff, familiarise yourself with the venue's exits and procedures, wear flat comfortable shoes with non slip soles, consult and follow your doctor's advice regarding the suitability of these classes if you have any health issues or concerns, stay well in front of the stands, sound and display equipment at all times.
You must also regulate your exertion levels with regard to your own fitness and use Robin's policy of "Time out anytime" (feel free to drop out of any lesson or party at any time if you feel you need to)  You must also make Robin aware of any health, disability or health and safety issues you have before you start dancing.
